Terms and Conditions of Sale

Version dated 16 September 2026

1. Purpose and acceptance

These general terms and conditions of sale (the "T&Cs") govern the provision of the online document-translation service "Manuce" (the "Service") by the company Rocket IA (the "Publisher") to any natural or legal person (the "Customer") who places an order on the site. Any order presupposes prior and unconditional acceptance of the T&Cs, evidenced by a tick box at the time of payment. The applicable T&Cs are those in force at the date of the order; the Publisher reserves the right to modify them for the future.

2. Service publisher

The Service is published by Rocket IA (trading name AI ROCKET), registered with the Registre national des entreprises under SIREN number 851 274 183 (SIRET 851 274 183 00025), APE code 6201Z, whose registered office is located at 1 rue du Seigneur Foulque, 60240 Parnes, France, reachable at contact@rocket-ia.fr. Full legal information is provided in the legal notice.

3. Description of the service

The Service allows you to upload a document (Word, PDF, PowerPoint, Excel, text, Markdown, HTML, RTF, CSV formats, up to 40 MB), obtain an analysis (word count, page count, detected language and domain), an immediate quote, then, after payment, its translation into one or more target languages from those available. The translation is produced by a state-of-the-art automated language engine, configured by the Publisher domain by domain (the "specialists", designated by names such as Thémis, Métis or Atlas). No individual reads or proofreads your documents, except at your express request as part of a complaint.

The files delivered for each language are: a Word file (.docx), a PDF file and plain text. Optionally, you can request preservation of the original layout (Office files only), customisation of the PDF with your branding (logo, company name and legal notice provided by you) and priority processing.

A free test is offered before any order: on a paragraph you paste on the home page, and on an extract of the uploaded document. This test is limited in volume and number of attempts per day.

4. Account and customer area

The order requires a valid email address. A customer account is opened automatically at this address; it provides access to document history, translated files and invoices. Access is by a single-use code sent by email, without a password. The Customer is responsible for the confidentiality of their email and for any use of their account made from it. The Customer may request closure of their account and deletion of their documents at any time.

5. Orders and quotations

The quote is established automatically based on the number of words actually contained in the uploaded document, as counted by the Service, the number of pages, the target languages and the options selected. You review the quote, the preview of the text read and, if you wish, the free translated extract, before proceeding to payment. The order is firm once payment is confirmed. An acknowledgement of receipt is sent by email, and a notification informs you when the files are available.

You undertake to upload only documents for which you hold the necessary rights and whose content is lawful. The Publisher may refuse or interrupt the processing of any document manifestly contrary to law, and refund the order where applicable.

6. Pricing and payment

Prices are stated in euros and detailed on the page Pricing : a degressive per-word price by tier, specific to each of the three quality levels offered (Essential, Professional, Premium), a minimum per language, a coefficient by language (common languages at the base rate, other European languages +25%, non-Latin scripts +60%, rare languages +100%, applied to both source and target language), discounts based on the number of languages, options charged per page or as a percentage, and a total rounded up to the nearest euro. The quality level is chosen by the Customer at the time of the quote; it determines the engine used and, for the Premium level, the addition of an automated proofreading pass. VAT not applicable — article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI) : the Service Provider operates under the VAT exemption scheme and does not charge any value-added tax. The price displayed at the time of order is therefore the total price payable, and it is the only one applicable.

Payment is made online, by bank card, through the payment provider Stripe. The Publisher does not have access to card data. The service is only initiated after payment confirmation by the provider. An invoice is issued for each order and made available in the customer area and by email.

7. Performance and delivery

Translation starts as soon as payment is confirmed and generally takes place within a few minutes, with no contractual time commitment; the "priority processing" option places the document at the head of the queue. Files are made available in the customer account and the Customer is notified by email. They remain available there as long as the account exists. In the event of a technical incident preventing delivery, the Publisher restarts the service; if it cannot be completed within 48 hours, the order is refunded in full.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in principle have a period of fourteen days to withdraw from a contract concluded at a distance. However, in accordance with article L221-28 of the Code de la consommation, this right cannot be exercised for the supply of digital content not supplied on a physical medium where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and their express waiver of their right of withdrawal, nor for goods made to the consumer's specifications. By ticking the box provided for this purpose at the time of payment, you request immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as translation begins. You retain the guarantees provided for in article 9.

9. Nature of the service, quality and limitations

Translation is produced in an automated manner. The Publisher undertakes to deploy the most advanced technical means at its disposal, configured for the domain detected or chosen by you, in order to provide a faithful, coherent and directly usable translation. However, it does not guarantee the absence of any error or inaccuracy, and you remain responsible for proofreading and for the use you make of the translated document.

The Service does not provide sworn or certified translation. Documents intended for an administration, a court or a use with legal value requiring a certified translation must be reviewed and certified by an approved translator; the Publisher expressly reminds the Customer of this. Scanned documents without a text layer, handwritten documents and encrypted documents are not supported.

If the Customer identifies a substantial defect (untranslated passage, incorrect language, unreadable file), they report it to contact@rocket-ia.fr within thirty days of delivery; the Publisher repeats the service free of charge or, failing that, refunds the relevant part of the order. This guarantee does not cover defensible terminological or stylistic choices, nor defects in the source document.

10. Business account

Legal entities may open a business account. The administrator who creates it declares that they have the authority to bind the company. The account includes a monthly subscription per active user, translation at a reduced per-word rate, formatting and priority processing included, invitation and management of users, and a usage dashboard. Each user only accesses their own documents; administrators access usage data (volumes, languages, amounts) and not the content of other users' documents.

The subscription is billed monthly, in arrears for per-word consumption and in advance for users, to the tax identity provided by the administrator, who guarantees its accuracy. It is without fixed term and may be cancelled at any time from the account or by email; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period. The account starts with a trial period without subscription billing, translation being charged on a usage basis; the Publisher may limit the trial by volume and duration.

11. Documents entrusted and intellectual property

You remain the sole owner of the documents you upload and the translations resulting from them, of which you acquire full enjoyment upon payment. The Publisher acquires no rights over their content and does not use them for any purpose other than performance of the service, support and compliance with its legal obligations. Documents are not used for training any model nor for any statistical analysis of their content. The Service, its brand, its interface, its text and its code remain the exclusive property of the Publisher.

12. Confidentiality and personal data

Documents are transmitted in encrypted form, processed on servers located in France and kept in your customer area until you delete them. To be translated, the text of the document is transmitted to the Publisher's language engine provider, bound by contractual commitments to confidentiality and non-use of data for training purposes. The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms an integral part of the T&Cs.

13. Liability

The Publisher is bound by an obligation of means. Its liability cannot be engaged for indirect damages, loss of opportunity, turnover or data resulting from the use of a translation, nor for the consequences of a defect in the source document, misuse of the Service or unavailability attributable to a third party or force majeure. Towards business customers, the Publisher's liability is in any event limited to the amount of the order concerned. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

14. Duration, suspension, termination

The customer account is opened for an indefinite period. The Publisher may suspend access in the event of fraudulent, abusive or improper use, after notification by email except in case of urgency. The Customer may close their account at any time; documents and translations are then deleted within thirty days, with the exception of invoicing data retained for the statutory period.

15. Complaints and mediation

Any complaint is sent to contact@rocket-ia.fr; the Publisher responds within ten working days. In accordance with articles L611-1 et seq. of the Code de la consommation, the consumer Customer may, after prior written approach that has remained unsuccessful, have free recourse to a consumer mediator. The mediator selected by the Publisher is: Sas Médiation Solution — e-commerce Mediation Service (Ms Eliane Simon, mediator), 222 chemin de la Bergerie, 01800 Saint-Jean-de-Niost, France — www.sasmediationsolution-conso.fr.

16. Applicable law

These T&Cs are governed by French law. Failing amicable resolution, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent French courts; for business Customers, jurisdiction is attributed to the courts having jurisdiction over the Publisher's registered office. The T&Cs are offered in several languages for the Customer's convenience; in the event of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
