Translate a general meeting minute

A minute is read for one thing: to know what was voted on, by whom, and in what terms. The translation must therefore preserve the mechanics of resolutions before refining style.

How much it costs

For a document of this type, approximately 2,000 words (6 pages), into one language:

Essential
12 €

Understand the document, internal use.

Professional
36 €

Ready to share, by the legal specialist.

Premium
70 €

Cross-reviewed. For what commits you.

By comparison, a translation firm charges between €240 and €400 for this same document, within five to ten working days. VAT not applicable — article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI) Original layout included. Exact quote displayed before payment, after uploading the file.

Each resolution is a block

"First resolution — approval of accounts", "Second resolution — allocation of profit": the numbering, heading and voting result form a set that is cited. The number of votes for, against and abstentions is copied as is, including number formatting.

A foreign shareholder who receives a translated minute must be able to say "I approve resolution 3" and have it unambiguously be the third resolution.

Quorum and majority

Quorum and majority rules are specific to French law and the corporate form. Translating them into Anglo-Saxon concepts would give a false impression of familiarity. Best practice is to keep the French term with its explanatory equivalent.

Frequently asked questions

Is the voting table preserved?

Yes. Results tables come back in place, with the same figures, in the original file.

Can you translate a minute on the day of the meeting itself?

Yes: a few minutes are enough. This is common practice when a foreign investor is waiting for the minute to release a payment.
