Translate a sales brochure
A brochure contains few words and lots of layout. It's exactly the opposite of a contract — and that changes everything, because the cost of a commercial translation has always been that of the graphic designer, not the translator.
How much it costs
For a document of this type, approximately 1,800 words (16 pages), into one language:
Understand the document, internal use.
Ready to send, by the marketing and sales specialist.
Cross-reviewed. For what commits you.
For comparison, a translation agency charges between €216 and €360 for this same document, delivered in five to ten working days. VAT not applicable — article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI) Original layout included. Exact quote displayed before payment, after uploading the file.
The true cost of a translated brochure
Sixteen pages of brochure often carry fewer than 2,000 words. Translation alone costs a few dozen euros. What used to be expensive was putting those words back into the layout: reworking each InDesign or PowerPoint block, adjusting overflows, regenerating the PDF.
Manuce returns the PowerPoint or PDF file with its text replaced in place. The layout work disappears, and that's where the real saving lies.
Translating is not adapting
A slogan isn't translated, it's rewritten. Manuce's marketing specialist seeks effect rather than word-for-word rendering — but doesn't reinvent your positioning, and doesn't know your brand restrictions. For a cover headline or brand signature, have someone who speaks the language review it.
For the rest — product descriptions, selling points, statements, captions — specialist translation is more than sufficient, and saves you three-quarters of the work.
Attention to length
German lengthens a French text by 20 to 30%, Spanish by 15 to 20%, English often shortens it. In a tight layout, a block can overflow. In a PDF, Manuce reduces the font size to keep the text in place; in all cases, proofread a brochure before printing it: it's the only type of document where the eye needs to check again.
Frequently asked questions
Does my PowerPoint come back as PowerPoint?
Yes, with its slides, text boxes, images and colours in place. The text is replaced at its position.
What about an InDesign file?
InDesign is not processed directly. Export to PDF: Manuce returns a translated PDF with the same layout, or a reformatted Word document if you prefer to rework the text.
