Original (French)

The village was waking slowly, as if reluctantly. In the square, the baker was pulling up his metal shutter with that clatter everyone knew and no one heard any more. She crossed without hurrying, her coat open despite the cold, and told herself that perhaps this was the last time.

Frequently asked questions

Editorial & literary: what we're asked for

How is the price of an editorial translation calculated?

On the number of words actually contained in your file, counted on upload, and on the level chosen: Essential (0.58 ct per word), Professional (1.8 ct) or Premium (3.5 ct, cross-checking included), price for the first tier, decreasing thereafter. Certain languages carry a supplement. The quote is displayed before any payment.

What timeframe?

A few minutes for a document of several dozen pages: passages are translated in parallel and you are notified by email as soon as the files are ready.

Can I judge the quality before paying?

Yes. After upload, a paragraph of your document is translated free of charge by this specialist in the language of your choice.

Are my documents confidential?

No person reads your files. They are processed by our linguistic engine, stored on servers in France in your space, and deleted at your request. They are not used for any training.
